South Island Gallery / Whitewater / 2013-07 Waiau   Paddling the Waiau after NW rain melted all of the snow--about 600 cumecs apparently. Day 1: Walk over the pass to the Edwards and paddle down to Hanmer (awesome lower gorges at this flow), Day 2: Paddle the Hanmer river, then carry on down the lower Waiau gorge.
