Canyoning the coast's newest run--the Toaroha Canyon. It was long considered too steep to run, however the lower isn't actually that steep at all, and makes a great easy canyoning trip at super low flows (the whole canyon has been canyoned, but we did the lower, starting by descending the slip from 476434, which is just S of the saddle). The next day we paddled the 2 day whitcombe, the last 2-day run on my tick list and an awesome run even at the low flows (32 cumecs at the Hokitika gorge). Paddlers and canyoners: Kerry, Mike, Mike, Greg, Ewan, Ben, me.
